Sunscreen in a Brush

Acho que todos sabemos que o protetor para de fazer efeito mais ou menos 90 minutos depois que a gente aplica, mas a maior parte (inclusive eu) finge que o protetor solar dura o dia todo porque ta com preguiça ou nao quer borrar a maquiagem.

A verdade é que aplicamos o protetor as 7 da manha, quando levantamos e ficamos torrando no sol.

Nessa ultima temporada chegou um produto inovador que promete acabar com a preguiça das mais preguiçosa (eu), o protetor em pó é leve, não entope poros, promete ser ideal para peles sensíveis (diz ser chemical-free-broad-spectrum-protection), hipolargenico,e pode ser aplicado por cima da maquiagem quantas vezes quiser e alguns vem com um pouco de pó bronzeador (para aquelas que gostam de ficar da cor do pecado).

Vários deles tem produtos que prometem também absorver o óleo do rosto, acabando com aquele brilho e dando uma finalização matte

É ótimo para você levar na bolsa e reaplicar rapidinho e sem ficar com aquela sensação de melada.

I think we all know that the sunscreen we put on is only effective for about 90 minutes.  Most people (like myself) put it on and just pretend it last all day because we are far to lazy to re apply or we just don’t want to mess up our make up.

The truth is we apply out make up at 7 in the morning when we get up and just go on with our business like we aren’t damaging our skin.

This summer a new product came out and it promises to put and end to the laziness of the laziest person (me!), the new powder sunscreens promise to be light weight, not clog pores, hypoallergenic, ideal for sensitive skin (they say they are chemical-free-broad-spectrum-protection) and can be applied over out make up as many times and we see fit and some of them even come with a little bronzer (for those who love the sun kissed look).

Many of them also have products that absorb oil from the skin so that you don’t look shiny and always have that matte finish.

It’s great to put in your purse and apply really fast and efficiently whenever you want without getting that uncomfortable sticky feeling.

Drugstore Shopping NY

Quando eu vou para os EUA eu não deixo de passar em alguma farmácia, seja CVS, Duane Reade, o que for.  As farmácias lá são GIGANTES, são pequenos shoppings com tudo que você pode imaginar e mais.

Algumas coisinhas que eu comprei (da esquerda para a direita): Esmaltes Essie, Effaclar removedor de maquiagem com água termal, Base da Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam, Sally Hansen Nail Shield (esmalte em forma de adesivo nude), Falsies Volume Express da Maybelline, Sally Hansen Color Quick – esmalte na forma de caneta, Eos Lip Balm

When I go to the States I always stop by a Drugstore, in NY I go to Duane Reade in Miami it’s CVS, but wherever I go a drugstore is a must.  Unlike Brazil, the drugstores there are HUGE and they sell everything you may want and more.

Some of the things I bought there (from left to right): Essie Nail Polish, Effaclar (make-up removal with thermal water, Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation, Sally Hansen Nail Shield, Falsies Volume Express by Maybelline, Color Quick by Sally Hansen (nail polish in pen shape), Eos lip balm.

Éstée Lauder Mad Men Collection

Gente, lembra que eu falei, tem um tempo, que eu tava querendo muitooo essa coleção, tava na minha wish list.  Bem finalmente chegou e é tudo que eu esperava e mais! É tudo um mimo, as caixinhas, embalagens tudo com jeitinho vintage!  Sem falar que a maquiagem dura horas e as cores ficam muito bonitas.

Obs: eu estava usando a Estée Lauder Mad Men Collection no Look do Dia que postei hoje.

Do you guys remember I said a while ago I was in love with Estée Lauder and Mad Men Collection?  Well, I finally got them and now I’m even more in love.  It was everything I imagined and more, the packages and casing are so sweet and with this vintage style, I almost didn’t have the courage to use it because it was so cute.  The make up lasts hours and the colors looked amazing.

Shu Uemura Dome Blush

Blush cremoso (amo!) com textura leve.  Pode aplicar diretamente nas bochechas, é bem pratico!

Creamy blush (love) with a very light texture.  You can apply directly to cheeks, which makes it extremely practical.

Tatcha Collection

Os produtos da marca vieram de um livro de receitas e rituais de gueixas.  Os produtos contem chá verde, algas vermelhas e farelo de arroz.

Tem cleansing oil, esfoliante, sérum, hidratante e papel que absorve óleo.

The products by Tatcha came from a book of geishas with recipes and rituals.

The products are made from green tea, red algae and rice.  There is a cleansing oil, exfoliating cream, serum, hydrating cream and paper that absorbs skin oiliness.

Skin Illuminator – St. Tropez

Esse produto foi muito usado no Oscar e eu to louca pra testar, dizem que realmente da um up na maquiagem.

This product was used a lot during the Oscars; I’m dying to test it.

Dior One Essential Ultra – Détox

Eu tenho o creme da mesma linha e acho maravilhoso, essa mascara é desejo de consumo porque você usa uma vez na semana durante 5-10 minutos e a pele fica totalmente nova e limpa.

I have the cream from this line of products and it works wonders on my skin.  This mask is on my wish list because you only have to use it once a week for 5-10 minutes and get totally new, fresh looking skin.

Gente, acabou de sair uma paleta de sombras com 35 cores da Sephora em parceria com a Pantone, inspirada na beleza do verão, estou apaixonada e já ta na minha wish list!

Sephora and Pantone teamed up to make an expansive palette of 35 silky eye shadows inspired by the beauty of summer, I’m in love and it’s officially on my wish list.

Bare Minerals Brasil

A Bare Minerals chega ao Brasil esse mês com duas lojas próprias em São Paulo, no Shopping Villa Lobos e Pátio Higienópolis, além de ser vendida na Sephora online e logo logo na loja física da Sephora.

A marca traz um pouco de todos seus produtos, base, batom, pincéis, rímel.  O base mais famosa Base Mineral FPS 15 vem com 20 tons diferentes e tem a versão Matte ideal para peles oleosas ou mistas (otimo para pele brasileira).

Só um aviso, é preciso comprar os pincéis, sem eles o acabamento não fica bom.

Para quem não sabe usar os produtos (sim tem ritual de aplicação) as vendedoras são treinadas para ensinar.

 

Bare Minerals has finally arrived to Brazil, this month it opens two of its own boutiques in Sao Paulo, one in Villa Lobos Mall and the other at Pátio Higienópolis mal plus it’s being sold at Sephora (the site and soon the actual store).

The brand is bringing its A game with over 300 products, foundation, lipstick, brushes, mascara.  Its famous Base Mineral FPS 15 has 20 shades and comes in Matte for oily or mixed skin (perfect for brazilian skin)

Just a warning, but you have to buy the brushes or the products won’t be applied properly.

For those who don’t know how to apply and use the products (yes there is a ritual to it) the sales people are trained to teach you.

Ck One Color

Gosto da Calvin Klein, gosto do conceito das roupas, acho bonito e tudo, só não é o meu estilo, compro coisas de lá misturo com coisas mais girlie, femininas e românticas.  Mas para minha felicidade e de muita gente por ai a CK esta lançando uma linha de makes maravilhosa chamada CK One Color em parceria com a Coty, que é tudo que a linha de roupa não é: cheia de cores, vibrante, sexy, cool.  A linha de make foi inspirada no perfume Ck One que praticamente virou uma submarca dentro da grife e tem como clientes a galera de 18-25 anos.  Que será o mesmo publico alvo das maquiagens.

São 130 itens lançados e com um produtinho que promete, 3 em 1, tem a função de sérum, primer e cobertura.

Infelizmente a linha só deve chegar aqui no Brasil em outubro, mas já ta sendo vendido nos EUA.

 

I like Calvin Klein, I like the concept, I think their outfits are very chic, it’s just not my personal style, I buy stuff there because of the minimalism and quality which can be mixed and matched with a lot of my girlie, romantic outfits.

Now for those who love a pop of color like I do will be very happy to know that CK is launching a line of make called Ck One Color in partnership with Coty which is colorful, vibrant, cool and sexy.  The new make up line was inspired by the perfume CK One, which has become so popular.

There will be 130 products being launched and a special product that promises miracles, it’s a 3 in 1 product that should act as a serum, primer and coverage.

Unfortunately the make up line will only be sold in Brazil in October, but its already being sold in the U.S.

Lancôme 24H Foundation

Eu uso bolsas razoavelmente pequenas pra tudo que eu preciso carregar de um lado pro outro e minha “bolsinha básica” de maquiagens pesa 10 mil kg (hahah), e eu carrego porque sempre  preciso retocar a maquiagem, acho que meu sonho de consumo seria maquiagem que durasse o dia inteirinho, nada de retocar, nada de carregar bolsas de maquiagens pesadíssimas.

A Lancôme acaba de lançar uma base chamada Teint Idole Ultra 24H, que promete cobertura de 24 horas, conforto sem igual, não pesa no rosto e tem uma cobertura impecável.

Você pode achar as bases em 28 tons diferentes.

 

I usually lug around reasonably small bags compared to all the stuff I have to carry around, my “small” make up bag is responsible for over half the weight I carry.  I carry that much weight around because I always need to retouch throughout the day, I think my fantasy is to have make up that last 24 hours, no retouching, no carrying around 10 thousand kg/pounds.

Look do dia/Todays Look

Estou saindo hoje para fazer algo que amo muito, degustar champanhe (hehehe ADORO), esse é o look que escolhi!  Depois conto pra vocês o que eu achei do lugar, ele é novinho aqui na Barra.

I’m going out tonight to a champagne tasting (LOVE CHAMPAGNE), this is the look I picked out.  Later on I’ll tell you guys what I thought of the place, it’s brand new here in Barra.

Make Up For Ever Brasil

Meninas, para quem ama maquiagem tenho ótimas noticias!  A Make Up For Ever do grupo LVMH finalmente chega ao Brasil nesse mês de Maio.  Você poderá comprar no site da Sack’s a partir do mês de maio  e no mês de julho poderá ser encontrado na mega loja da Sephora no Shopping JK Iguatemi em São Paulo!

Todos os produtos da marca são de excelente qualidade e alta duração, recomendo!

For those who love make up and live in Brazil I have some great news!  The make up brand Make up For Ever owned by the LVMH group is finally going to be sold here!  You can buy it starting this May at Sack’s and then mid July you can buy it at the Sephora store at JK Iguatemi in São Paulo.

All the prodeucts are really good and have a long lasting effect.
